Circles: A Community Response and Resource (.pdf ebook)

(to download, right-click here, and then click “Save Link As…”)

Circles is an ever-developing response to abuse and sexual violence within and around our communities. The book is a document designed to center and support survivors of abuse and sexual violence. In it you will find a neatly designed directory of support services and resources for survivors based in Tio’tia:ke (Montreal) and Tkaronto (Toronto). Also included are general Canada-wide networks, as well as services and resources for those who have committed abuse.

While the first print edition of Circles is sold out, donations can be made to the Circles Collective via our store, here. All proceeds go to Circles artists, panelists for past and future events, and the printing of future editions of the book. While the ebook is offered here for free, contributions are highly encouraged for those not in financial precarity. The ability to produce future editions of this book is vital to the collective’s mission.

United Cassettes: Map of Labels (interactive map)

United Cassettes is your portal for all things cassette. While their well-stocked European cassette distribution only recently opened, perhaps the coolest feature is their worldwide Map of Labels. Founded by Filip Zemčík of the record label Z Tapes, the United Cassettes Map of Labels indexes location, genre, social media, and contact information for over 270 independent record labels. The UC Map of Labels will see a comprehensive overhaul in early 2018.

FCK YOUR BOYS CLUB (spreadsheet)

This document is an index of artists who are people of color, women, femmes, non-binary, and queer folx. Available information for each band includes web and social media links, location, and genre. Artists may submit themselves to the list using the link at the top of the spreadsheet. The document’s current maintainer can be contacted with any questions or concerns. FCK YOUR BOYS CLUB is ideal for promoters unable to diversify their bills.
